In an unexpected turn of events, L’Jarius Sneed, the stellar cornerback, is officially leaving the Chiefs. The Titans, in a shocking move, have managed to secure this prized player, as confirmed by ESPN’s NFL insider, Adam Schefter.
The Chiefs, who had used the non-exclusive franchise tag on Sneed earlier this offseason, are reportedly finalizing the trade.
The deal is expected to fetch a 2025 third-round pick for Kansas City, along with the swapping of seventh-round selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, set to take place next month.

The trade is a strategic move for the Chiefs as well, as it will save them a substantial $19.8 million against the salary cap.
Sneed, a fourth-round pick in 2020, has demonstrated exceptional performance in his four seasons. The 27-year-old player has multiple interceptions in each season, totaling 10 in his career to date. He also boasts 6.5 sacks in his career, underscoring his versatility on the field.
According to Pro Football Focus, Sneed had an impressive grade of 71.1 this season, reflecting his high level of play and consistent performance.
The Titans have been making waves this offseason, with the acquisition of Sneed being the latest in a series of strategic moves. The team also recently added another cornerback, Chidobe Awuzie, to their roster.
