The upcoming event UFC 300 has announced a new title fight, which is actually a clash between the BMF title contenders Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, the former featherweight champion.
According to a social media announcement by UFC CEO Dana White, Jim Miller has been granted his request to compete at the highly anticipated pay-per-view event. His opponent will be veteran fighter Bobby Green, who can be found on the MMA Fighting website under his fighter profile.
On April 13, UFC 300 will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In a recent announcement, White confirmed a women’s strawweight fight between the champion Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan, marking the first title bout on the ESPN+ pay-per-view event.

Gaethje will be defending the belt that was revived by the UFC last year in a rematch against Dustin Poirier at UFC 291. In a surprising turn of events, Gaethje knocked out Poirier with a head-kick to claim the zinc belt, which was initially created for the UFC 244 main event featuring Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal.
According to expectations, Gaethje was a potential contender for the lightweight championship title against Islam Makhachev, who is expected to be ready for a fight this summer. However, he will now face Holloway instead. Holloway’s journey back to the featherweight title has been hindered by three losses to champion Alexander Volkanovski. In his latest match, Holloway defeated Chan Sung Jung via knockout, extending his current winning streak to two after his third defeat to Volkanovski.
Following his victory over Gabriel Benitez at UFC Vegas 84, Miller has been granted a quick turnaround, which he had publicly requested. During the post-fight press conference, he expressed his desire for a UFC 300 match against veteran welterweight fighter Matt Brown, and also requested a special introduction from longtime UFC announcer Bruce Buffer.
