Contrary to popular belief, intermittent fasting does not significantly boost metabolism or enhance fat burning. While some believe that fasting might rev up the body’s metabolic engine, scientific evidence to support this remains scant.

Like any diet, intermittent fasting also has potential health risks. It could lead to nutrient deficiencies, disrupt regular eating patterns, and even increase the risk of heart disease in some cases.

While intermittent fasting might aid weight loss to some extent, it’s not a miracle solution. A balanced diet and regular physical activity are still the cornerstones of maintaining a healthy weight.

Many health experts agree that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to weight loss. What matters most is finding a sustainable and healthy eating pattern tailored to individual needs and preferences.
