Teen accused of pushing Queen’s grandmother down Church Stairs attempts suicide at NYPD precinct
On April 7, a grave incident occurred at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Briarwood, Queens. A 68-year-old woman named Irene Tahliambouris was ruthlessly pushed down the church steps by a young boy. The teen not only assaulted the elderly woman but also stole her purse. The accused is a 16-year-old boy named Jayvaun Prince. He was arrested and taken into custody on April 11. However, the story took an unexpected turn when Jayvaun attempted to take his own life the next day while in the NYPD's 107th Precinct stationhouse.
