Pilot Fatally Crashes Stolen Plane in Northeast Texas
In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old man from Stokesdale, North Carolina, identified as Logan Timothy James, lost his life after stealing a plane from a flight school in the Dallas area and crashing it in rural Northeast Texas. The stolen aircraft, a Cessna 172, was taken from ATP Flight School in Addison on Wednesday night and flown more than 80 miles northeast towards Paris. The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the Red River in Fannin County, approximately nine miles northeast of Telephone. James was the sole occupant of the plane, and thankfully, no other injuries were reported.
