Motorcyclist Arrested After Almost Hits Child Crossing NC Street
It's something that school officials say will make your heart sink. Surveillance video captured the moment an Iredell County Elementary School student jumped back from a stopped school bus to avoid being hit by a passing motorcycle.
This horrific incident happened at 2:38 pm. Thursday, Jan. 4, when an Iredell-Statesville school bus was traveling on Carlyle Road at Farmdale Drive.
School officials said the motorcycle was seen passing a stopped school bus and the elementary school student immediately moved out of the way. The North Carolina Highway Patrol said a suspect has been identified in the case.
