Shocking House Fire & Shooting Takes Lives of 6 Family Members in Philadelphia
The peace in East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, was shattered on a tragic day as a devastating house fire and shooting unfolded, claiming the lives of six family members.
The incident first came to the attention of authorities when a 911 call reported that an 11-year-old girl had been shot inside a home in East Lansdowne. Multiple police agencies promptly responded to the distress call, unaware of the danger that awaited them.
As officers arrived at the scene, they were met with a hail of gunfire, leaving two brave officers injured. The officers, identified as 54-year-old David Schiazza of the Lansdowne Police Department and 44-year-old John Meehan of the East Lansdowne Police Department, were rushed to the hospital, where they were expected to recover.
