Residents of San Antonio were left scratching their heads after witnessing an unusual celestial event. The night sky was illuminated by strange lights that had many questioning the source of this spectacle. The mystifying event sparked a flurry of speculations, with some attributing it to extraterrestrial activities, while others remained skeptical.
The rational explanation, however, was far less fantastical. According to the Express-News, the lights were likely the result of a SpaceX rocket launch. The billionaire entrepreneur, Elon Musk’s company had recently conducted a launch from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The rocket carried 23 Starlink satellites, which were possibly in their separation stage at the time of the sighting.
Despite this plausible explanation, some residents remained unconvinced. A local resident, Alyssa Ramirez, expressed her skepticism on a social media post, implying that there may be other factors at play that authorities were unwilling to disclose.
“They’ll claim it’s SpaceX or a Starlink satellite, but they know what they’re hiding from us,” she commented.
Andrew Propes, another local resident, also shared his disbelief in the SpaceX explanation. He maintained that the object he recorded was right above his apartment and had split into three distinct formations.
Another Facebook user, Abraham Mendoza, echoed these sentiments, expressing his expectation that the event would ultimately be attributed to SpaceX.
San Antonio is no stranger to UFO sightings. The city has a long history of such incidents, which perhaps explains why some residents are quick to attribute these unusual occurrences to extraterrestrial beings.
The city is also the home of author Whitley Strieber, known for his book “Communion” which details his purported experiences with non-human entities. Strieber’s accounts have played a part in shaping the city’s collective consciousness regarding extraterrestrial phenomena.
