A woman was found dead Saturday after hanging herself from an iron gate at a sports bar at a Philadelphia sports complex.
According to Fox News, the 48-year-old woman was found at Xfinity Live! The site says the woman is believed to have been climbing the fence outside the bar at around 2am on Saturday morning.
The 76ers played the Knicks at the complex on Friday night. Fox said no other events took place there Friday. It said Xfinity Live! is a popular “pregame and postgame” hangout for Philadelphia sports fans.
According to the report, police said the woman was “impaled by the leg (and) left dangling over the fence for five hours (and) removed from the gate.”
Fox cited Tanya Little of the Philadelphia Police Department as saying that the woman had wounds to her legs and feet that were “consistent with a gate.”
Little told Fox that “no other signs of concussion were observed” and that fouls were not expected.
