The CHP said a multidisciplinary accident investigation team is assisting in the investigation. But the main reason for the accident is believed to be dense fog.

SB Interstate 5 has been closed between Milks Road and Old River Road and is expected to remain closed until at least Sunday.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and traffic has been detoured from eastbound Highway 223 to southbound Highway 99.
