Kourtney Kardashian, the eldest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, has once more taken a stand against body-shaming, expressing her love for her post-partum figure. This self-love proclamation occurred during a joyful family moment on her 45th birthday.
On Kourtney’s 45th birthday, her sister Kim Kardashian shared a picture of the trio, including Khloe Kardashian, during a recent beach outing. All three sisters were donned in petite black bikinis, showcasing their unique body forms. Some fans speculated that Kourtney might not appreciate the picture as her body didn’t look as slim as her sisters’.
Contrary to the fans’ assumption, Kourtney Kardashian expressed her admiration for the picture and her body. She responded to the comment by asserting her love for her body at any size.
In her words:
“I LOVE this photo! It is me and my sisters having the best time on a trip with our kids…and the memories to last forever! And I LOVE this body that gave me my 3 big babies and my little baby boy.”
This is not the first time Kourtney has had to defend her post-baby body in recent months. Last week, she shared her own bikini pictures from the family’s getaway to Turks and Caicos. In a powerful open letter, she condemned the pressure to “bounce back” after childbirth.
Kourtney, who recently welcomed her newest son Rocky with Travis Barker in November, encourages her followers to be kinder to themselves as postpartum bodies are still adjusting months after birth.
“I love myself as I am, and everyone who believes otherwise can kick rocks.”
Kourtney doubled down on her support of Kim’s birthday post, taking to the comments again to declare her love for her younger sister.
“I love you sooooo and so grateful for all of the incredible memories we have together… when I think it, it’s like a movie plays in my head of all of them! So blessed!”
