Country star Morgan Wallen took to the stage for a memorable comeback concert after his infamous run-in with the law, proving that he still knows how to entertain, despite the controversy.
The concert took place at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, where die-hard Wallen fans braved the rain to witness the 30-year-old singer’s return to the limelight. The concert was part of his One Night at a Time World Tour, and despite rumors of cancellation due to bad weather, it went on as planned.
Before Wallen’s performance, the audience was treated to opening acts by Bailey Zimmerman, Lauren Watkins, and Nate Smith. These talented artists warmed up the crowd and set the stage for Wallen’s much-anticipated performance.
Wallen’s previous performance at Ole Miss was marred by an abrupt cancellation. This time, the stadium made light of the incident, displaying a message on the jumbotron before Wallen took the stage to assure the audience that he was ready to perform.
Once the concert started, Wallen didn’t shy away from acknowledging his recent troubles. He told a story about his rowdy behavior in high school and how it almost got him kicked off the baseball team. He then segued into his song “’98 Braves,” much to the delight of his fans.
“I guess I’m still a little rowdy now,” Wallen admitted, trying to stifle a laugh.
In addition to his popular hits, Wallen also performed his unreleased song, “Lies Lies Lies,” which he debuted in March as part of his digital series, “Abbey Road Studios.”
Wallen had been silent on social media following his arrest but broke his silence a day before the concert. He expressed regret over his actions and reassured fans that his tour would continue as planned.

On April 7, Wallen was charged with three felony counts by the Metro Nashville Police Department after he allegedly threw a chair off the roof of a bar, endangering nearby police officers.
Nearly a year prior, Wallen had caused a stir by abruptly canceling a concert in Oxford, Mississippi. He cited vocal issues as the reason, but a security guard at the venue suggested that Wallen was too intoxicated to perform.
Despite his legal troubles and last year’s concert mishap, Wallen’s tour was still going strong. He kicked off his “One Night at a Time” tour in Indianapolis on April 4 and is set to perform across the country.
Several country stars, including Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Jon Pardi, are set to join Wallen on tour this summer, promising more exciting performances for country music fans.
