One Killed and Multiple Injuries as Tour Bus Rolls Over in Upstate New York

On Friday, January 6, 2024, a tour bus traveling from Montreal, Canada to New York City rolled over on Interstate 87 in Lake George, New York, killing one person and injuring 11 others. The bus was carrying 23 people.

The crash occurred shortly before 1 PM, and an emergency response team attended the scene. One passenger was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in critical condition, and 12 other passengers were taken to Glens Falls Hospital with minor injuries.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul said that police and Transportation Department personnel were conducting rescue operations at the scene.

“I join the people of New York in praying for the well-being of all those involved in this horrific incident and am deeply grateful for the heroic efforts of our first responders,” Hochul said in a prepared release.
