Noor Alfallah, an acclaimed Kuwaiti-American producer, has recently shed light on her personal ordeal with a dangerous pregnancy complication.
Noor Alfallah’s path to motherhood was far from easy. In a candid conversation with Vogue Arabia, Alfallah opened up about her diagnosis of HELLP Syndrome, a severe pregnancy-related condition characterized by elevated liver enzymes that can lead to seizures.
“When I look back on it now, I wish I could have enjoyed my pregnancy more,” Alfallah admits.
Despite the hardship she faced during her pregnancy, Alfallah’s life as a mother now is more rewarding than she ever anticipated.
Alfallah, 30, and Pacino, 86, welcomed their son, Roman, in June. The couple, who have been romantically involved since April 2022, faced a significant challenge in September when Alfallah sought physical custody of their son.
“Every day I look at him, I just know I’m so blessed,” she adds.
In the legal documents reviewed by PEOPLE, Alfallah asked for Pacino to have “reasonable visitation” of Roman. As a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Cinematic School of Arts, Alfallah also requested joint legal custody for Pacino, which would allow him to participate in crucial decisions about their baby, including medical treatment and education.

After the custody agreement was filed, Pacino and Alfallah confirmed that they were still together.
“Al and Noor have successfully worked together and have mutually reached agreements regarding their child Roman. They are still together,” the actor’s rep told PEOPLE in a statement.
In November, the couple agreed to joint legal custody over Roman, with Alfallah having primary physical custody and Pacino granted “reasonable rights of visitation.” The agreement includes ensuring contact between the non-custodial parent and Roman, facilitated via phone or FaceTime until Roman is capable of initiating such interactions independently.
