The late suspected sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and TV comedian Jimmy Kimmel were the subjects of remarks made by New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers on “The Pat McAfee Show,” for which Pat McAfee has expressed regret.
In a chat, Rodgers brought up the next document’s alleged publication, which would identify scores of individuals connected to Epstein, who committed himself four years prior in jail while awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking.
While cracking jokes is a part of their show, McAfee addressed Rodgers’ remarks from the previous day on his program on Wednesday, stating that “whenever there are accusations made about people, that can lead to lawsuits.”

During the program on Tuesday, Rodgers stated, “A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that doesn’t come out.” In addition, Rodgers declared that if the list is made public, he will be “popping some sort of bottle.”
Although McAfee said he understood Kimmel’s outrage, he argued that Rodgers’ comments were intended to be a “s— talk joke” but later evolved into a “very serious allegation.”
“We sincerely apologize for our part in it,” McAfee said.”I am eager to hear Aaron’s thoughts on the matter. Hopefully, those two can simply have a friendly conversation and move on from this, rather than taking it to court.
CNN has been in contact with a Rodgers spokesperson. ESPN and ABC both choose not to respond.
The former NFL player McAfee produced the show called “Pat McAfee Show.” ESPN distributes the program, which is available on YouTube Monday through Friday. Rodgers frequently contributes for pay to McAfee’s program. ESPN’s parent company ABC produces and broadcasts “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
CNN reached out to Kimmel’s spokeswoman for comment, but she did not reply. On Tuesday, Kimmel took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize Rodgers for his assertions following the global success of a video on social media.

“For the record, I haven’t flown, met, visited, or had any contact with Epstein, and you won’t find my name on any ‘list’ other than the blatantly fake stuff that dimwitted fools like you can’t seem to tell the difference between,” Kimmel said on Instagram. “You’ve put my family in danger with your thoughtless comments. Continue, and we’ll discuss the facts in court.
In the past, Kimmel and Rodgers have made fun of each other in public. On “Live!”In March, Kimmel made light of comments Rodgers had made at the time on McAfee’s program about the Epstein document.
